Knoxville Growing Summer Farm Camp is underway and we could NOT be more excited. If you are still in need of care this summer, please let us know at info@farmcarekids.com. We cannot guarantee a spot, but we will let you know if we can help. Happy planting and enjoy the summer!
We're actively looking for families and staff for our summer camps this year! If you're interested in care or looking for work, we've got a spot for you. Staff apply using the button below; families scroll down for enrollment forms and Frequently Asked Questions.
Once you have completed the Enrollment Details form, your spot is reserved! Deposits ($50 per student) are due no later than two weeks prior to your selected start date and can be paid with cash, check (payable to Fireside Nation LLC), or online through our secure credit card payment system. Please note that the deposit payment is separate from the weekly rate for camp.
You will receive an email requesting the two forms below be completed; enrollment packages should be returned on the student's first day of camp.
Please contact us directly using the form below if your question is not answered here!
FarmCare is the combination of small scale farms and small daycare centers. The mix is magic! We believe the entire country is deeply in need of better food, better childcare, and a community of individuals to help raise kids in a village. Check out this video for a small taste of our passion!
At this time, all of our program offerings are only during the day. FarmCare and the Growing Summer Farm Camp are both offered from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. If you need help arranging childcare outside normal business hours, let us know and we may be able to help.
Our rate is $250/week, which includes instruction from PhD-level educators, a t-shirt, and growing gear. We do have some limited scholarships, so please don't let finances keep you away - email us at info@farmcarekids.com to discuss your situation.
It all starts with fun! Our schedule is consistent from day-to-day, but it includes a wide variety of physical, creative, and educational activities. Students will enjoy our age-appropriate curriculum that challenges them to see the natural world differently. This includes growing plants, painting with chickens, adventuring with magnifying glasses, even grooming goats. Don't be surprised if dinner conversation is a little more interesting than usual!
Families can choose to pack lunches, or allow us to provide meals. Thanks to generous donations from local farmers, there is no difference in price. We will provide fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, and plenty of water. We will also have an occasional smoothie day where the students choose their own delicious adventure.
We are passionate about providing supportive care for the entire family in addition to our students. Let us know what you need, and we will do our best to accommodate!
